Renew Guard

Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 7, 2026

Renew Guard is designed to work locally on your device. It does not require an account, does not run a hosted subscription service, and does not upload your subscription records to a remote server.

Information Stored on Your Device

Renew Guard stores the following information locally on your Apple device:

  • subscription names, costs, billing cycles, and renewal dates
  • optional notes and cancellation links
  • optional screenshot data if you import a confirmation image for OCR parsing
  • optional widget summary data shared through an Apple App Group so the widget can display upcoming renewals

Photos Access

If you choose to import a screenshot, Renew Guard requests access to your photo library so you can select an image. The selected image is processed on-device using Apple Vision to detect service details such as name, price, and date.

Calendar Access

If you choose to add a renewal reminder to your calendar, Renew Guard requests calendar access so it can create an event on your device. Calendar access is optional and the app works without it.

Notifications

Renew Guard schedules local notifications on your device to remind you about upcoming renewals. Notification content is not sent to a remote server by the app.

Analytics and Tracking

Renew Guard does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, fingerprinting, or cross-app tracking.

Data Sharing

Renew Guard does not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
