About Anvilink
Anvilink is a local Mac snapshot vault for people who need confidence before changing important project folders. Pick a folder, create checkpoints, compare file versions, mark key milestones, and restore work without setting up a server, account, or cloud sync service.
Use Anvilink for active project folders, drafts, code experiments, client handoffs, design files, research folders, and other local work where "undo" should survive beyond a single app session.
Core tools:
- Create folder snapshots on demand or while watching a project.
- Review saved versions and compare changes before restoring.
- Restore in place or save a copy through standard macOS panels.
- Star, tag, and annotate important milestones.
- Export folder history for audits or handoffs.
- Review vault storage, deduplication, and health details.
- Check Recovery Readiness before a deadline.
New Recovery Readiness in version 2.1 evaluates recent snapshots, starred milestones, protected file coverage, vault integrity, and available disk space. It turns raw version history into a practical recovery score with clear findings, so you know whether a folder is well protected or needs a fresh checkpoint.
Anvilink runs locally on your Mac. It does not require an account, analytics SDK, advertising SDK, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, location access, or a network connection. File access is limited to folders and files you explicitly choose through macOS file panels.
