Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Shadowfetch. They are written to be readable, not to hide anything in fine print. By using the site you agree to them.

Effective July 15, 2026

Using the site

Shadowfetch is a technology news publication that is free to read and does not require an account. You may read, link to, and share our work for personal, non-commercial use. In exchange, you agree not to misuse the site: no attempting to break, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to it; no scraping or bulk copying that burdens our infrastructure or republishes our work wholesale; and no using the site in a way that breaks the law or infringes someone else’s rights.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site at any time, and we may limit or block access that threatens the site’s security, availability, or integrity.

Our content and using it

The articles, analysis, images we license or create, layout, and the Shadowfetch name and marks are owned by Shadowfetch or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may quote a reasonable excerpt for commentary, criticism, or news reporting with clear attribution and a link back to the original article. Republishing full articles, or using our content to train models or build a competing product, requires our written permission.

We correct the record when we get something wrong; corrections and questions go to support@shadowfetch.com. How we make editorial decisions is described in our editorial standards.

Third-party links and services

Our articles link to outside sites, and features such as the newsletter, reader contributions, and our apps rely on third-party services. We do not control those destinations or services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Following an external link is at your own discretion, and that site’s own terms and privacy policy apply once you leave Shadowfetch.

Advertising disclosure

Advertising keeps Shadowfetch free to read. Ad placements are labeled, kept visually separate from journalism, and can never buy coverage, a place in a story, or favorable treatment. Where consent is legally required, advertising cookies and personalization stay off until you choose to accept them. For how advertising data is handled, see our Privacy Policy.

No warranty

We work hard to be accurate, timely, and available, but the site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any article is complete or fit for a particular purpose. Nothing on Shadowfetch is legal, financial, medical, or professional advice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Shadowfetch and the people who make it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or similar damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or anything you rely on from it. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you; in that case our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law permits.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the site evolves. Material changes will be dated on this page, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions about these terms can be sent to support@shadowfetch.com. See also our Privacy Policy.
