Bandwarden now works out TV channel occupancy from real FCC records instead of market estimates. Set the venue (offline city or ZIP search, one-time GPS, or coordinates) and it lists every TV channel whose station contour covers that spot. Each channel shows the stations behind it with call sign, class, distance and margin. The data is bundled, so it works with no signal backstage.

• 9,939 US TV transmitter sites with contours, from FCC records dated 2026-09-23, covering full power, Class A, low power and translators
• Location rule built in: a channel is excluded when you're within a co-channel station's contour plus 4 km (47 CFR 15.236(e), 74.802(b)). You can raise the margin, count or ignore construction permits, and mark corrections for each show
• Land mobile channels in 470–512 MHz around 11 metro areas (47 CFR 90.303), plus the Hawaii channel 17 rule
• US band rules check with sources: each frequency is checked against the Part 15 and Part 74 wireless-mic bands. It flags licensed-only segments (653–657 MHz, 941–960 MHz and others) and frequencies no rule lists. Part 15 or Part 74 is set for each show
• Scan Check: peak level for each TV channel from your imported scan, a one-tap "mark busy channels", and the −84 dBm whole-channel indoor check that applies to Part 74 licensees
• Walk-In Finder: pick a guest's system and get clear frequencies ranked by headroom from predicted intermod, plus an estimate of how many more channels fit
• Add many channels at once (Vox 1–8), duplicate a channel, and DECT / 2.4 GHz / 5.8 GHz systems are tracked as self-managed instead of getting fake assignments
• Export frequency lists: a plan CSV plus one plain-text list per equipment profile (MHz, one per line) for import into coordination software. Share or import complete show files between devices and crew
• The PDF report adds an RF Environment page: excluded channels and why, rules flags and sources

Bandwarden is a planning tool. Its results and bundled data don't make a frequency legal and don't guarantee interference-free operation. TV data can lag real stations, and low-power station contours are estimates. Always confirm with a scan on site and check the current rules for your situation.
