About Deepvein
Deepvein is an idle strategy game about running a deep-earth extraction and refining operation — and it is built the way idle games were meant to be, before timers and ad-gates. There is no energy meter. No "watch an ad for 2× speed." No premium currency. No offline-progress paywall. You buy it once, and every mechanic a free-to-play version would sell you is simply how the game works.
MINE, REFINE, GO DEEPER
Four interlocking resource chains — ore, heat, pressure, and refined alloy — feed a single refinery. They gate each other, so this is a real optimisation problem, not one runaway exponential. Minute to minute you read the throughput, find which chain is the bottleneck, and spend to unblock it. Then you sink the shaft into richer strata and do it again, deeper.
A SHAFT THAT ACTUALLY DEEPENS
The screen is a hand-generated geological cross-section that descends as you dig — sixty-four distinct strata bands from topsoil to the outer core, each with its own rock, ore character, heat, and pressure. A synthesized industrial ambience shifts with your depth.
ELEVEN LAYERS THAT CHANGE THE RULES
When you have gone deep enough, collapse the shaft for essence and unlock the next prestige layer. Each of the eleven layers changes a rule rather than adding a number — one inverts pressure into a bonus, one turns heat into a spendable currency, one lets depth persist, one hands you a visual automation language to script the whole operation while you are away.
EIGHT HUNDRED UPGRADES, ALL EARNABLE
Over 800 upgrade nodes with real prerequisites branch across the depth of the graph. Every one is reachable by playing. Big numbers are handled by a custom arithmetic type that sails past the point where ordinary math overflows.
IT RESPECTS YOUR TIME
Close the app and it keeps running — at full rate, computed exactly when you come back, whether that is two minutes or two weeks. Active play is bursty: a couple of minutes of decisions, then hours away. That is the whole game, and it is the point.
