Rentwitness: Rental Evidence

About Rentwitness: Rental Evidence

Rentwitness is a private rental-condition workspace for documenting what you can observe at move-in, during maintenance, and at move-out, and for comparing the two side by side.

Set up your rental with room templates, then work through each room's checklist of areas: walls, floor, ceiling, doors and locks, windows, fixtures, plumbing, and safety devices. Add a condition rating, a factual note, a photo, and the date you observed it. Rentwitness records the time each entry was added separately, and stores a SHA-256 fingerprint of every photo so you can see later whether the stored file has changed.

MOVE-IN VS MOVE-OUT
The Compare tab lines up your latest move-in and move-out record for every room area, with both photos side by side, and marks each one Worse, Same, Better, or Missing. While you capture move-out records, the matching move-in photo is shown so you can repeat the framing.

CONDITION REPORT PDF
Create a dated, multi-page report: summary, checklist coverage, keys and meter readings in and out, conditions noted at move-in, side-by-side comparison photos, a full record log with photo fingerprints, your communication log, and signature lines. Choose which sections to include and share it from your device.

KEEP YOUR RECORDS SAFE
One backup file holds the rental, every record, and every photo. Save it to Files or a computer and restore it on any device. Restoring keeps a safety copy of the current rental first. You can also export every record and communication as CSV.
