Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 7, 2026

Arbiter is designed to help you decide on a tip percentage without creating an account, syncing to a vendor cloud, or exposing unnecessary information.

Information We Collect

Arbiter does not create user accounts and does not directly collect personal information such as your email address, phone number, payment card details, or geolocation.

Information Stored on Your Device

Arbiter stores the following data locally on your device:

  • your saved baseline tip percentage
  • minimum and maximum verdict settings
  • your manifesto questions and their enabled state
  • split-count and interface preferences
  • temporary session details you enter during a verdict, such as restaurant name or a short comment

This information stays on your device unless you choose to back up your device through Apple services.

Sharing

If you choose to share a verdict, Arbiter uses Apple's system share sheet to let you send a generated message and image.

The shared content is limited to:

  • restaurant name
  • final tip percentage
  • your short comment
  • a generated graphic
  • the app name if enabled

Arbiter does not add the bill total, tip dollar amount, payment information, or server identity to the share message.

Analytics and Tracking

Arbiter does not use third-party advertising SDKs, does not use cross-app tracking, and does not include analytics collection.
