About Dialborne
Find the smallest repair
Fault Finder adds 30 returned-movement repair contracts. Diagnose failed checks and repair each movement within a one- or two-setting change budget.
• Open Workbench → Fault Finder and choose a contract.
• Diagnose the delivered movement. Adjust gears, spring, escapement or regulation.
• Test the repair against all six existing checks and the change budget; completed contracts remain marked after relaunch.
Changes count settings that differ from the delivered assembly, not taps. Repair drafts reset when you leave; completed contracts persist. This is a fictional clockwork puzzle and does not model repair of a real watch.
Build a clockwork movement that earns its result.
Dialborne is an offline mechanical puzzle workshop. Fit wheels from a finite tray, follow exact gear reductions, choose a spring and escapement, then regulate the completed train. Every trial explains why a movement works or fails.
SIXTY MOVEMENTS, SIX CHAPTERS
• Begin with a single meshing pair, including introductory fixed-wheel puzzles, then build two- and three-stage compound trains.
• Match fixed arbor tooth totals and exact fractional reductions. Replacing a part returns the old wheel to the tray.
• Balance drive torque against power reserve. Later chapters introduce escapement trade-offs and tighter regulator travel.
• Run repeatable checks for inventory, fit, reduction, torque, reserve and daily rate. No random tap score decides success.
• Keep separate saved assemblies, undo history and mastery records for every trial. Hints explain a first step without completing the puzzle.
BORROWED TIME REPAIR SHOP
Meet ten original supernatural timepieces across six-customer sessions. Diagnose the device, follow its service notes, protect its integrity, and decide whether it should be returned, refused or quarantined. Daily and Weekly benches use deterministic UTC-based selections. Repair progress and consequences save after each action; the bundled soundtrack can be muted.
A COMPLETE LOCAL WORKSHOP
Forty written fieldbook lessons explain the actual game rules. The bench provides text controls, labeled states and layouts that expand for larger text. Earlier edition scores remain in a separate archive.
One paid download. No ads, subscriptions, in-app purchases or developer account. Gameplay works offline. Optional Game Center score sharing is off by default; Apple handles sign-in.
Dialborne is fictional entertainment. Gear reductions use tooth counts; torque losses, power reserve and daily drift use explained game rules. It is not a professional watchmaking simulator or repair guide.
