About Foliowright: Bookbinding
Plan a handbound book from exact measurements, keep the edition together, and take a matching production plan to the bench.
SAVE THE EDITION
Keep page count, copies, binding method, signature layout, measured dimensions and material notes in one saved plan. Existing books, material records and checkpoints remain available.
PLAN EVERY SIGNATURE
Compare balanced and equal signature layouts. See sheets and blank pages per copy, sheet savings, and the front/back page pairs for each folded sheet. Check the folded order of a reference copy and keep those checks between sessions.
PREPARE YOUR MATERIALS
Calculate folded-sheet stock with rounded-up spares and setup sheets, cover and case dimensions, covering area and press bundles. Use a measured finished spine or a caliper-and-swell estimate. Keep grain and folded-dummy checks with the edition.
TAKE THE PLAN WITH YOU
Export a production PDF and a complete collation CSV calculated from the saved edition. Browse 60 offline reference plates and retain your workshop records.
Foliowright plans manual book production. It does not import or impose manuscript PDFs, choose printer feed settings, or include parent-sheet cutting, endpapers, linings and trim waste in stock counts. Thread and adhesive are rough working estimates. Check grain and make a printed, folded and sewn dummy before committing the full run.
No account is required. Workshop data stays in the app's local storage unless you choose to export it. Device backups may include local data according to your system settings.
