When you are writing a lyric or a verse and the line needs a word that lands, you do not want to wait on a server or scroll past an upgrade prompt. Rhymestash is an offline rhyming dictionary for songwriters, rappers, and poets. Type a common English word and it fills the page with options.
It returns five kinds at once: perfect, near, slant, assonance, and multi-syllable. That means you can reach for a true rhyme or the looser slant and assonance matches that carry a lot of modern writing, and the Multi tab looks for the double and triple rhymes worked into professional verses. Each search also shows the syllable count and the detected metrical foot, which helps when a word has to fit an existing line. Tap a result to copy it, long-press to save it, and your history stays searchable.
The rhymes come from a bundled subset of the Carnegie Mellon Pronouncing Dictionary, roughly 9,400 of the most common English words, so the whole thing works on a plane or in a basement studio with no signal.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Open Verse Cuts from Lyric Pad. Snapshot the current pad, enter a new starting draft or explore the night-windows example.
2. Open a line and keep up to eight takes. Compare dictionary or estimated syllable counts, set a target, add delivery notes or enter your own spoken count. Starting line text stays preserved.
3. Choose the take for each line and read the selected draft. Share just the chosen lyrics or the full working report with every take, note and count source.
Existing offline rhyme and sound searches, syllable tools, Verse Lab, saved songs and Lyric Pad remain available. Verse Cuts has its own local storage with corrupt-file protection. The CMUdict license notice is bundled and available in About.
WHAT TO KNOW
Your own writing, with no generated lyrics or automatic replacement of Lyric Pad text. Dictionary pronunciations and unknown-word estimates may differ from your accent or delivery; count fit is not a quality score. Up to 50 cuts, 100 lines per cut and eight takes per line. Blank lines preserve stanza spacing.
