About Sorphase: OTDR Trace Lab

Your trace. Its actual measured points. True Trace Import opens supported binary SOR files, plots stored samples and preserves instrument event data instead of substituting an illustrative curve.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Choose Import measured SOR and select a supported file from Files.
2. Check file-integrity status and acquisition metadata before inspecting the plotted samples. Drag the plot cursor to read a measured point.
3. Read instrument event numbers, raw codes, loss and reflectance values. Open the import diagnostics for supported blocks and warnings.
4. Export all measured samples as CSV or the separate text import report. Original files stay unchanged.
5. A checksum mismatch blocks ordinary import. Inspect despite checksum mismatch is an explicit optional path and remains marked unverified.

Inspect supported FxdParams, KeyEvents and DataPts with bounded parsing and CRC checking. Keep your instrument originals and export results before closing.

WHAT TO KNOW
Supports revision 2.00, one pulse width, one DataPts group with scale factor 1000, up to 16 MB and one million samples. Revision 1, multiple groups, iOLM and vendor-specific analysis are not supported. The graph uses peak-normalized relative levels; the CSV retains every raw sample. Vendor event classifications and acceptance thresholds are not inferred. The illustrative demo is synthetic and separate from measured imports. No measured bidirectional comparison, multi-trace overlay, PDF report or physical calibration claim. The active workspace is temporary.
