Cut Stock Planner turns a parts list into labeled board layouts with stock quantities, blade kerf, end trim and a shareable PDF cut list.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Open Pro Tools and choose Cut Stock Planner. Explore the labeled shelf-rails example.
2. Enter whole millimetres or inches in sixteenths, up to four available stock sizes and up to 100 pieces. Supply actual blade kerf and trim at each end.
3. Review every placed and unplaced piece, board diagram and offcut. Edit inputs, save the plan and preview or share the PDF or text report.

Existing projects, takeoffs, trade calculators, job tracking, estimate options, photo logs, change orders and PDF exports remain available. Saved plans preserve inputs; corrupt files are retained and blocked from overwrite.

WHAT TO KNOW
Uses best-fit decreasing, not a guarantee of an optimal order. Straight cuts in one material and cross-section; no defect, grain, angle, clamp or measurement-error allowance. End trim includes its cutting allowance. Exact remaining-length fits need no additional kerf. Confirm dimensions and safe procedures; this is not structural design. Up to 50 local plans.
