About Sungrade
Sungrade is the simplest way to find out how much direct sun any window in your home actually gets — and which houseplants will thrive there.
Hold your iPhone against the inside of a window, tap Capture, and Sungrade reads the compass + tilt to learn exactly which way that pane faces. Combined with your location, it then runs NOAA's solar position algorithm for every day of the year and counts the minutes of direct sun your window receives — broken down by season.
It's the sun report you wish your real-estate listing came with.
WHAT YOU GET
• A grade from A to F for every window you save, based on annual direct-sun hours
• Today's exact direct-sun windows ("3:42 PM – 5:18 PM, 1h 36m")
• A live "sun's path today" arc chart drawn just for your window
• Seasonal breakdown — winter / spring / summer / fall — so you can plan for the year
• Personalized plant picks from 30 popular houseplants, matched to your window's grade
• Care + watering hints written by a plant nerd, not a chatbot
PERFECT FOR
• Plant parents who keep killing succulents in a north-facing window
• Renters scouting an apartment — measure every window before you sign
