Tuftgrid is a private rug-tufting planner for makers, workshop hosts, and small sellers. Turn your own design into a tufting grid, know how much yarn each color needs, cut the right cloth, and price the rug before you stretch anything.

DESIGN TO GRID
- Pick your design with Apple's Photos picker; Tuftgrid crops it to your rug's proportions and reduces it to 2–16 yarn colors on device
- Choose the grid detail (20–200 cells wide) and see how much of the rug each color covers
- Edit the grid: paint cells, undo, merge small colors, focus on one color while you tuft
- Mirrored back-of-cloth view, plus PNG grid charts and mirrored outline stencils for projecting or tracing

YARN THAT ADDS UP
- Yarn per color from pile height, cut or loop pile, row and stitch spacing, strands threaded, and yarn weight per meter
- Calibrate from a weighed swatch to use your own measured rate
- Waste reserve and shearing loss included

YARN STOCK AND SHOPPING LIST
- Track colors, grams on hand, price per gram, dye lot, and low-stock alerts
- Link design colors to your closest-matching yarn
- A shopping list shows what unfinished projects still need
- Subtract yarn from stock when a color is finished

CLOTH, COST AND QUOTE
- Primary cloth and backing cut sizes with frame margins and hems
- Cost per rug: yarn, cloth, backing, glue and binding, labor
- Quote with your markup, using planned or logged hours

PROGRESS
- Progress by tufted color, weighted by area

EXPORT AND BACKUP
- PDF project sheet with colors, quantities, cost, and the grid
- CSV of colors or yarn stock
- Full backup file with designs and grids; restore by merging or replacing, with a safety copy kept
