Apple announced on August 5, 2026 that developers can use new creative assets on the App Store starting with iOS 27 and iPadOS 27.

The assets can appear in product page headers, search results, In-App Events, and other placements across the App Store.

Apple's asset best practices page states that creative assets let developers highlight brand, seasonal offerings, exciting new content, and more, separate from in-use visuals.

Developers must follow App Review Guidelines section 2.3 on Accurate Metadata and Apple Advertising Policies when creating assets.

Apple provides Figma, Photoshop, and Pixelmator templates plus best-practice guidance for the new asset formats.

The announcement directs developers to review the App Store asset best practices at developer.apple.com/app-store/asset-best-practices/ before the fall launch.
